The SRCHA Pre-Futurity has wrapped up and trainers and owners are looking towards the National Stock Horse Association show in Las Vegas, NV.

Winning the open futurity, we have Jay McLaughlin and Bush Whacked, marking a 440.00, owned by Jay And/Or Wendy earning $15000.00

With a tie for reserve champion, Sarah L Dawson and Cee Me Travelin marked a 439.50 owned by Stephen Roseberry earning $9015.57, and Shawn D. Hays aboard Playinstylish Kat marking a 439.5 for owner Kit Moncrief earning $9015.57.

With over $70,000 paid out to the 19 finalists in the open futurity finals it’s an exciting start to futurity season.

In the Intermediate Open Futurity, we would like to say congratulations to Ben Baldus for his win. Ben rode Tuffest Marshall In Town to a score of 439 to take home a check of $5372 for owner Sarijane Stanton/Bill Pinckard. Reserve Champion is Boyd Rice and Hesastylin marking a 438.5 bringing home $4297.60 for owner Kit Moncrief. With a tie for third we have Jordan Williams aboard Rpl Boon owned by himself marking a 437.50 , and Boyd Rice aboard GA Dual R Starlight also marking a 437.5 for owner Shane Boston. Each bringing home a check for $3021.75.

In the Limited Open Futurity, Clinton R Anderson claimed the winning check of $3223.20 aboard The No Pants Party with a score of 434.5 for owner Paul Gober. The $2578.56 Reserve Champion check went to Ashley M Deacon aboard WR This Cat Crawls marking a 433 for owner Deacon Equine. In third marking a 430.5 Taylor Carlile Gillespie aboard WR This Cat Will Cut bring home a $1933.92 check for owner Lesley Marshall.

In the Level 1 Limited Open Futurity, Taylor Carlile Gillespie claimed the win aboard WR This Cat Will Cut with a 430.5 bringing home a check of $2585.49. Mark Mills and Bet Yer Smart Chic marked a 428.00 to claim the Reserve Championship check of $2023.43 for owner Terry A. Lundberg. Chet Glen Martin marked a 426.50 good enough for third and a check of $1686.19 for owner Up North Performance.
