Part 1  Giovanni shows you how to warm your horse up before you go down the fence and how he divides his works into three segments, explaining:

• How to soften your horse whilst loping the perimeter pretending you are traveling with a cow.
• How your hands control the nose and neck with your feet controlling the horses body.
• Why exiting the corner and stopping straight is the key to everything.
• Your horses nose should be slightly pointed towards the cow traveling like the shape of a spoon.
• Get your horse comfortable rating and stopping straight before your begin worrying about turning with the cow.
• When a cow changes direction make sure your horse is thinking stop.
• Before working a cow make sure your horse is on his hindquarters to help his balance.
• Wants his horses to learn about being on the same lead as the cow circling.
• Don’t be in a hurry to finish your work.
• Take the time in between maneuvers to relax and let your horse absorb what you just taught him.
• What the correct mechanics are and why they will keep a horse pure throughout his show career.
